Howabout........... you stop talking about ignoring me and actually start ignoring me

You know what Tom, if you admitted to taking me off ignore, nothing would change......apart that is from you not appearing as idiotic

Does that make sense to you?

Does it matter if you are or are not?

You are without doubt acknowledging me and therefore NOT ignoring me

now where was I ? Oh yea I going in search of fabric for the seats/bed and I's've found a place who sells offcuts at attractive prices and I've just had a thought, I have a roll of this...

Its alloy insulating material and would make good material for upholstery, Its tough, cushioned and heat insulating, In my opinion would put a 1960's American retro look to the camper. Its thinking outside the van camping design,,
any thoughts, Not you sledge please, you're taking up valuable data space and not good for my image, Tell chesh to comment, I'd value a cats opinion,

Why don't you wrap it around your arms and legs, put a fishbowl on your head and a coat hanger up your backside then make a video of yourself talking in a strange voice and pretending to be a spaceman before posting it all on YouTube?

Thats the kind of thing you like doing...........isnt it?

Tom,

Found a van.

This is the sort of thing I am looking for, though not sure I want to spend quite so much.

Unfortunately, timing is not right for me, as I have a hospital admission coming up, so probably can't deal with anything of this sort during latter half of this month.

The seller/dealer is Ormskirk/Scarisbrick: anyone on WW know of him? Reputation, etc?

Watched his video, he seems quite a character, and seems to know his stuff.

The hospital stay corresponds with the junior doctor's strike, so may end up just getting sent home anyway. C'est la vie!

The van sold for £8,410, which I guess is quite reasonable.

So, they are to be had. Just hope to find one when opportunity is timely.

(Also would prefer not to be a Ford, I have sort of promised myself never again to buy Ford!)

I've nothing against Fords. they are time proven ' troopers' and gypo's like them too so. that screams out good vans. I've chosen a Citroen multispace because although its small, I can 'stealth park' in car parks with barriers and being a Lone ranger without a Tonto, Its a good level entry project and , If it floats my boat, I may upgrade to a camper with standing room, I'm almost ready to roll and eager for some good weather to do a few trial runs to fine tune my settings,
stay tuned for Tom's adventures into micro camping,,,,

Had four Fords: everyone was a disappointment.

(Granted they were not Transit vans, but nevertheless Ford leaves a bad taste with me.)

So preference would be a Merc Sprinter, or VW.

(In contrast, I have been happy with Mercs and VWs.)

At my age, the economics of this work against me.

No matter how often I were to get away vanning, I would never get 8 Grand's worth of accomodation out of the vehicle.

For that price, I could probably get a taxi to take me to and fro to a good hotel from whatever location I chose to visit.

We have a Ford Puma 18 months old(So called the top selling car?) and when we got it our son said nice design pity it is a FordI have had it back to the garage 3 times already 1st time to replace the cords/plastic clips on the parcel shelf ,the side clips kept flirting off and then the shelf would obstruct the back window.2nd the back doors close over the wheel arch but the door seals are about 1" from the bottom of the door so mud/water covers the bottom of the door on the inside (design Fault) 3rd the digital display would not show for about 30 secs after starting the car ,Told battery was down to 53% Now booked in for a 4th visit Cigar lighter socket fault not working will have to have a full diagnostic/fuse changed used for dash cam or tyre pump it will be the 5th MARCH before they can sort it. Next vehicle all ready ordered will be a trusty VW

" I can 'stealth park' in car parks" remember to check that there are no restrictions, like no overnight parking, no camping etc. Oh and don't get locked in
